the new french book really isn't that hard. it's genuinely completely vocabulary, with one grammar thing, and one verb tense (that it even SAYS you don't really need to know). i just took notes on a little over a half of it, though i did skip the cultural parts for now. they are bookmarked with pink stickynotes. (:

there are blisters on my hands from swinging too much. part of my mouth hurts from my retainer. i want some water but if i get up now i'm not sure if i will be able to stand up straight and my grandmother will get up and be all WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP AT THREE IN THE MORNING.

my mother comes home from germany tomorrow... er, today, technically. i will have a lot of time by myself to do more studying. it is nice.

i am hoping that maybe if i study and learn enough that she will let me partake in some french 5 stuff, because i know most of the french 4 stuff now anyway.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

French grammar is tough sometimes. As you mention, with a little bit of effort...
